Teen Patti is the card game many of us grew up watching at family get-togethers, usually around Diwali, with one relative insisting he always gets a pair. This ET7 Teen Patti guide covers the hand rankings from trail down to high card, the difference between playing blind and seen, and the common table actions. The ET7 game lobby lists Teen Patti and 3 Patti among its card games, so players who know the game from home will feel comfortable quickly.
The Basic Idea of Teen Patti
Each player gets three cards, and the best three-card hand, or the last player left, takes the pot.
Classic Teen Patti uses a standard 52-card deck with no jokers. Players add to the pot in turn, and anyone can pack (fold) on their turn. It is close to three-card poker, but the hand names and the betting style are different.
ET7 Teen Patti Hand Rankings
Learning this list first makes everything else in Teen Patti easier.
| Rank | Hand | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Trail (Trio) | Three cards of the same rank, like 7 7 7 |
| 2 | Pure Sequence | Three cards in a row of one suit, like 4 5 6 of hearts |
| 3 | Sequence (Run) | Three cards in a row in mixed suits, like 9 10 J |
| 4 | Color | Three cards of one suit, not in a row |
| 5 | Pair | Two cards of the same rank, like K K 4 |
| 6 | High Card | None of the above, so the highest card decides |
Trail
The best hand in the game. Three Aces is the top trail and three 2s is the lowest. It does not come often, which is why it sits at the top.
Pure Sequence
Three consecutive cards of one suit. A K Q of the same suit is the highest. In most rooms A 2 3 also counts and ranks just below A K Q, though some tables treat it as the lowest. The rules screen of each table shows which applies.
Sequence
The same as a pure sequence, but the suits do not match. Q K A in mixed suits beats J Q K.
Color
All three cards share a suit but are not in order. When two players both have a color, compare the highest card, then the next, then the last.
Pair
Two cards of the same rank. The higher pair wins, and if both pairs match, the third card decides.
High Card
When nobody has a hand, compare top cards. A K 9 beats A Q J because K is higher than Q.

Blind and Seen Players
A blind player bets without looking at their cards, and a seen player has looked.
In classic Teen Patti, a blind player bets a smaller amount per turn than a seen player. Once you look at your cards, you play as seen and the bet per turn goes up. The exact amounts depend on the table, and in the ET7 app the table shows what you can bet on your turn.
Why play blind at all? Partly tradition, and partly because it costs less per turn while putting a little pressure on others. At home tables, a few blind rounds are half the fun.
Common Table Actions
- Chaal: place a bet and stay in the hand.
- Pack: fold and lose what is already in the pot.
- Show: when two players remain, one can ask both to reveal, and the better hand wins.
- Side show: in some variants, a seen player can ask the previous seen player to compare privately. Not every table allows it.
3 Patti and Other Variants
Variants change a rule or two, so reading the rules screen first saves confusion.
The current ET7 information lists both Teen Patti and 3 Patti, and the lobby also shows tables such as AK47 Teen Patti. AK47 is a common variant in which Aces, Kings, 4s and 7s act as wild cards. Depending on the current version, users may find more variants than these, so it is worth opening each table's rules before sitting down.
Teen Patti Tips
There is no trick that makes anyone win at Teen Patti, but good table habits help.
- Know the hand ranks by heart before playing for money.
- Packing early with a weak hand is normal.
- Decide what the session is worth to you before the first deal.
- Avoid "Teen Patti hack" apps, which do not work and are sometimes built to steal accounts. Our security guide covers what to watch for.
The tables are the same in the ET7 APK and the mobile web version, and you may also see the platform called ET7.com, ET7.game or ET7game. Complete your ET7 login, open card games, and start at a low stake while you settle in.
Teen Patti on ET7 is for players aged 18 and over. It is played with real money, so keep stakes to what you would happily spend on a night out, and stop when that is gone.
